According to the article of the Economist of Spain (see reference), the growth in global power generation with solar cells will be 13 % from 2020 to 2030. The growth rate may be 18 % (source) for Latin america.

Fact: Swanson's Law notice that the price of solar pv panels drops a 20 % each time that the world production of panels double their sales. Currently this causes the price to fall by 75 % every 10 years.

Possibilities in the region

In the region, we see how solar panels began to invade the roofs of government, commercial and industrial buildings. This has been possible due to the economic benefits offered by the countries and as part of their goals to increase the amount of energy produced by renewable sources.

Only between 2016 and 2021, the generation of photovoltaic energy grew by 41 GW in Latin America and with the expectation that the region represents 10 % of global demand.
